Well I bet you think no progress has been made on the Nomad....Wrong, we have been working on it when we can. I have just been to busy to upload photos and post. Well no pictures today folks, I will upload them soon.
Rims were removed and painted, servicable used tires mounted. Temporary tow lights added, and we towed the Nomad to my In-Laws place to start work before the longer tow home. Removed all the rotten floring (rear 2/3 of the trailer).
Wire brushed exposed frame and painted. Installed new sub floor. My wife wire brushed and painted the tounge. New tounge jack installed. Purchased a vintage potty room window. I have found a source for replacment Aluminum..... Stay tuned......
Hi John,
ReplyDeleteWe picked up a Nomad 1961 camper last summer, too (2010)-the next size up. I have not been able to find any information about this camper. I was interested in your picture of the logo--mine is painted over and I'd like to restore it (you can still see the outline). Your picture helps! Good luck with your restoration...I'd love to see more pictures as you continue.

Hi John - I just purchased a 1962 Nomad Compact and hope to get it May 2 or 3. Would love to see your progress. I keep searching for images and info. on vintage Noamd's but it is very hard to find. I was hoping to find a picture of original outside, but I think yours comes pretty close. Good luck in your restore.
