Early 1960's ??? Nomad

Found this old Nomad Travel Trailer, which we believe is early 1960's This blog will document the refurbishing of this rare and classic travel trailer. Although it looks a lot like a Shasta Compact of that era, it is not a Shasta, it is a Nomad. Very little info seems to be available on these trailers. (Click on photos to enlarge).

  1. John, that is the sweetest looking little trailer I've ever seen - and that's in it's current condition - I'm looking forward to the restoration!

  3. I have a 1968-ish Nomad trailer, 14ft. I've been trying to find the VIN plate, - no luck, and number on tongue is too short, nothing on axle either. Any suggestions on how to get this baby on the road?

  4. You've probably got this information by now, but just incase.I recently purchased what turned out to be a 1964 Nomad Skyline. The short VIN# will be correct. DPS came out and checked mine out. and researched it for me, then sent the forms to get a bonded title. NO cost for this but my insurance company is charging me 50.00 for the bond. Not bad actually.
